Tramigo T22 Stops Car Thieves in the Caribbean
August 28, 2009
Tramigo T22 and a simple text message was all it took to stop car-jackers from carrying out a daylight theft in Trinidad & Tobago.
Ramesh Sammy, a vacationing visitor in Trincity realized that his cousins car was no longer where he had parked it.
Instead of panicing, he sent a text message from his phone to the Tramigo T22 device installed in the car and in less than a minute received a reply on with its exact location.
As it became clear that the car was stolen he decided to send another text message to the car, this time to shut down the engine to prevent the thieves from moving the car.
Knowing the exact location of the car and that it could not be driven any further, it was time to dial the police station to report the theft and recover the car.
Parkeerah got his car back within no time and the bandits are believed to have escaped on foot after the car was disabled.
